Well that shows just about everything from how it is nutted to the lower head stud, to where each end goes through the tin pieces. Just slide under your bus and take a gander at the same area. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |

I didn't have mine hooked up when I bought the bus and I must be missing parts. I have the correct oil bath air cleaner and the front tin with the pass-through hole, but I don't have the tube that the hose connects to. I wanted to put it back correctly when I put the new engine in and was wondering what/where the missing part(s) go. I also noticed that the small deflector tin has a hole in it where mine does not. _________________ In 1966 Volkswagen pinched my loaf.

If yours is a '67 then what you have is correct: front tin with preheat hole, rear tin with no hole, lower cylinder tins with no holes. What you're missing is the heater box with the little pipe sticking up on the passenger side. Do you have a picture of your front tin with the hole? Have you looked up at the top of your heater box for the pipe? |

I don't remember my heater box having the little pipe, but I'll double-check once I get back home (out of town). _________________ In 1966 Volkswagen pinched my loaf.

I think I get it now. Since these things aren't all that easy to come by I may try to fab one up and drill the plate myself. _________________ In 1966 Volkswagen pinched my loaf.

Any idea if this oil bath pipe with the extra little tube on it is stock or someone's modification? This is the second pipe I've found just like it. |

Thanks. I figured they were hacks as well, but happened to find two that looked the same and wanted to check. |

156 Euros/$206 dollars is a good deal if it came with the bracket.
I have a 211 129 611B with bracket. Well used. Not NOS |

What's the deal with the 261 129 613B air cleaner? It looks similar to a bastard air cleaner but with a breather tube. It's also listed as a type 1 part. Did Beetles have suspended air cleaners?

The 1968 bulletin lists using the type 2 611 & 612. If the 613 is a later one it would be for later type 1. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |

That bulletin lists 211 part numbers, not 261. |
