Yeah, was going to use a 61 pan but decided against the swingaxle and just kept the pan I had with the 70........

Good call on the IRS. Much better handling than swing axle.

Just don't like the tire tucking.......and they do seem to ride rougher than IRS........and really, I like the 4 lug wheels better....isn't that crazy?

5 lug wheels can be a pain sometimes, getting wheels and tires balanced. Some of these guys don't have the means of mounting them on a balancer.

I like the 4 lug repo Mahle Gasburner wheels. They look sharp on any VW IMO.

Yes......he sent me an email Tuesday saying they would be shipped Wednesday at lunch time and that he would send me the tracking number when they do ahip...they weren't shipped because I haven't received a tracking number.......making me nervous because I paid him $700.00 through PayPal and it feels like the run around. I paid him 9 days ago.....take a look at his feedback......Mike Moses.....

you can get the same "look" with 165/60/15 and have the same contact patch you have with stock tires. looking at them from the side you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference in them and 135s. the 165/60/15 sidewall is like 1/16 of an inch shorter. maked eye is not gonna see the difference in the two. handling with the 165/60/15 would be much better.

oh and the last nankang 135s i had got about 15k and were shot. most of the newer low profiles that put you in the same ballpark will give you 35k or more and alot of them are CHEAPER than the 135s.

i've preached this many times. seems i get about 65% listeners who love the suggestion and about 35% gotta keep it "old school cal look"...ken....

I know that 4 lug BRM's aren't old school.....the look of the BRM is and they pulled it off very well with them.... and the stance of dropped front end and stock rear with small tires in front is the old school look I'm going after
