|
|
So, today was the last meeting of this year for the Pomona Car Swap Meet. Incase anyone doesn't know, the Pomona Swap Meet has a section dedicated to a VW Swap Meet and Older VW/Porsche Car show. Today, I got the items listed below, all for only $38!
3 62-67 tail light lenses; US Speck. Very bottom and top left were $3 each, top right one was free (due to heavy cracking)
A 1:87 (VERY tiny) Karman Ghia dicast by Malibu International Ltd. $3
Chilton's VW Repair & Tune Up Book. $8
A very nice, black, VW ball cap! VERY nice! $6
And lastly, a Beetle T-shirt that says Pomona on it. $15
This was a very fun show, and will probably go again on Jan. 15, 2012. _________________ My '65 Beetle "Herb". Originally Panama Beige. His forum (for now) - http://bit.ly/AbcyLC

Was that at one time a library book? The only place I have seen a non-paperback Chilton book (or one by any other publisher of VW repair manuals) is in a library. |

No, it wasn't. That's strange and cool. What's wired is it has a $4.95 price on the back cover, not a sticker, but in text. _________________ My '65 Beetle "Herb". Originally Panama Beige. His forum (for now) - http://bit.ly/AbcyLC

I'm starting to get little wafts of bus stink coming from the north. Something about the unique scent of drivers seat padding when it's glued together with mouse piss and shit that really gets me going... and I'm smelling it! Oh yeah! Time to start loading up the equipment. |

In addition to that one, I have two other hard cover Chilton's. Someday I'll have to do a photo catalog of the couple hundred VW repair manuals I have.
