VIN A little confused

I am looking at a Vanagon Westy with the following VIN

What does the X mean.. if this a check digit...anyone know?

W=Germany
V=Volkswagon
2=MPV
Z=Camper
B=4 cyl Gas
0=seat belts
25= Vanagon
X-= check digit internal code??????
F = 1985 model year
H = Hanover

Yes, the 9th digit is the check digit. It is used to help prevent vin# errors and fraud.

I'm talking about this chart:

STEP 1

Yes, that chart. You can see by the letters and numbers adjacent to where the W would fit that someone made a typing error and left out the W=6 entry. I see they also screwed up in some other places, missing the L and putting the wrong numbers to M and N.
