Hmmm... from the design of them, I'd bet that the optics of the light suck...
And no DOT/SAE approval might cause issues -

They look more like 'show lights' or 'off-road' lights.
I'm more partial to these, as they look a bit better in lens design & price of $79.99 for the pair...

And those absolutely suck with the light pattern. Had 'em on my SR and regretted it the first night trip out. Very poor dispersion pattern and what was there wasn't covering the road adequately. |

Sort of kills any deal for street legal..... Along with poor dispersion of light comments.... And probably not even legal to sell for "street" use...

Should work great with the LED's for the '58 Chevy tail's you have. Keeping LED F&R is a lot easier than standard bulbs front and LED's rear. _________________ Bad News Racing 2018 NORRA 1000 3rd in Class

The only reason I mentioned the original ones was because they came in a housing already. |

I've run those exact lights for a few years now. I've never had anyone complain or not see my signal lights when the headlights were on. I run my headlights day & night. Here's a picture of the signal light on with the headlight and another picture of the whole buggy. It's a very clean look w/o signal lights on the fender or bumper.

1madmanx, how do these lights work for illuminating the highway? _________________ Bad News Racing 2018 NORRA 1000 3rd in Class

They are adequate but not great. As you can see in the close-up picture the lens doesn't have any defusers in the bottom half. Also the lens is plastic and not glass (although I don't think that makes any difference). The actual bulb is a halogen that inserts into the light reflector. High beams work as well as a normal light bulb.
With all of this said, I do drive my buggy at night and don't have any problems seeing. Most of my driving is on city streets (low beam) and when I'm on a more remote road I run the high beams. I find the trade off (illumination) for integrated signal lights to be acceptable for me.
Hope that helps. _________________ Bud (1Madmanx)
