My '73 has two spots that have leakage problems, by the looks of it I think some others might have these problems. On the right side of the bus (by the sliding door) there is a little crevace water get through every time unless the cover is on. My weather stripping is pretty bad that could be it but I am not sure. The other is on the passenger and driver side doors. The water trickles down the windows and into the doors. I noticed it when I was removing the panels today. Maybe someone knows how to fix my problem. But it could be weather stripping.

I would replace all the weather stripping or door and window seals especially on your doors that water sitting in the bottom of those doors will be a perfect setup for rusting out the bottoms of them. Is the felt stripping still in the windows that should be there as well as all the other rubber scrapers at the bottom. Seal it all up before all that water runs its course. Get the right rubbers too, don't settle for the rollout foam you buy at the hardware store, buy original. Good luck anthony |
