I know I'm not inventing the wheel! as a matter of fact I'm just fishing for ideas on how to set this up in a Westy.
Is a hot shower that works with the Coleman propane bottles or I'm sure can be fed by the camper's propane tank.
I trying to figure out what the quickest set up. I'm thinking the rear hatch open, hang some curtains, for privacy when it's need it, tapping the water source out of the tank should be easy, but the pump should be a 12V can the stock one me double switched to control from the shower and the sink, would a valve be needed to direct the flow, or just keeping the sink off will do?
I'm assuming that the top of the heater should be clear from flammable items, but if not a permanent setting inside one of the cabinets would be nice.
Does any body have a better shower set up or ideas?

This looks easy and simple (but they are sold out hmmm...) and could be used with the stove in the van and have the shower by the driver side door

And yes I used the search to no avail ( I've seen some thing similar but cant find it)

To use it in a Vanagon, you need a dedicated pump able to provide sufficient pressure. You also need a bucket full of water. And it requires a propane tank.

Bill installed his using the drinking water as the shower supply, and the westy propane tank as the fuel supply.

The unit uses 1.4 gallons per minute, and 1 pound of propane per hour.

another shower option I find very appealing are the heat exchanger options. especially the ones that have a storage tank so you dont have to run the motor to shower.. more here

more heat exchangers in this thread
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4833830#4833830

the downside of these is they have no hot water storage tank, so you have to run the motor to shower.. thats a deal breaker for me.

This time of year you can usually find the Zodi instant hot showers pretty cheap on eBay. I picked up a brand new one last week for $45.00 shipped. I will probably swap in a 12V pump to replace the 6V D-cell battery pack unit at some point, but outside of that, the system works great for a quick shower or cleaning the dishes.
