Nope. It's a hot-dog warmer... or a 'dumb' Chick burner, whichever works for your individual locale.
It was on there when I found my Westy and I haven't had the heart to yank it from its moorings.
It would work if it were to be hooked up... but then I would have to bend one of the louvers back in, it had been tastefully cut at only one end, and then it was bent in to provide space for the oil lines. I am just fortunate that that was the only thing cut way back then... it was done in the seventies.
Could'a been the wheel-wells, no? _________________

There are more ways than one to camp. We camp where and when we want to. Could be in a forest, a campside or a crowded city.

Very true about the wells, had my fair share of finding a bus looking decent on the outside, yet inside the bulkheads cut out and theres no floor
thats an odd sort of hack, never seen a hot dog warmer? Hey to each his own, at least you know therees probably no one out there with another one like that. _________________ 1981 Tintop Vanagon, Camper conversion, "Margo" |

Looks like an oil cooler to me. Seen plenty of buses with that set up. Must have been a common kit back in the 70s. |
