Just thought I'd share this with everyone
I've been adding some LED lights to my Westy. I added a strip of lights on the ceiling above the back seat for eating and reading.
I found these people, they sell some nice items, they're in Hong Kong but worldwide shipping is $9 (takes a few weeks) but I like there selection and accessories
http://www.ledlightsworld.com/
I got a couple of their ridge SMD3528 and mounted them in some clear tubing and used existing screws to mount it.
Most of LED dimmer / controllers I've been looking at we either expensive, had proprietary connections or bulky... not really what I was looking.
In one of the other threads, someone mentioned these people (http://www.quickar.com/). Size and price were right and the more I looked into it, the more I liked it
You can dim your LEDs with the 10K linear potentiometer (I bet you could Ffind one to mount remotely) or use a SPST momentary switch for '5-steps' of brightness
By the way, Mark at Quickar is excellent, FAST shipping, can pay by PayPal and he's very helpful with communication and questions (I wanted to not install some of the parts and he contacted the engineer who designed the kit to get me the answers) now THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE
I should warn you, you have to build this and the circuit board and parts are REALLY TINY (... well, for these old eyes)
Only took about 30 minutes to assemble, decided to go with the 'Step Switch' only, found a nice little plastic enclosure at my 'Shack', drilled a couple holes in it for the wires and added some grommets.
Mounted up in the end of my 'spice shelf' with a little velcro and it works like a charm.
'Step 1' is really low, almost 'night light' low and 'Step 5' is excellent for reading
I've already ordered a couple of more kits.... I have an idea for long (3 strip / 57") 'warm while' set of lights under the 'spice shelf"... and I'm sure I'll find someplace else for the other controller

X2 on Quickar goodness. I have been enjoying my LED lighting setup using this dimmer.
