I love those zingers. I want to pick up all of the re-issues. _________________ "In any racing engine, the nearer you are to it disintegrating, the better it's performance will be"

I built one when I was a kid.
Several years back I built this one for BusNutBob. He had an original one in the box.
When the old kit was reissued it in 2010, I built one for myself. You can get them at round2models.com
I would love to get a close-up look at that prototype. It would be interesting to know what Beetle model it was based on. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

The V Dub Zinger is awesome. I still have the model I built when I was a kid.

From my portable photo studio.
Valve covers say GURNEY EAGLE
Not wanting to keep Zingers to myself, I built these two for my brother-in-law who collects Mopars.
The one on the left is the "Little Red Zinger," which I found built up, and did a little detailing and added decals.
The one on the right is the Dodge A-100 van, which I found built up. Originally molded in red, it had a paint job consisting of a gold base, with a heavy coat of blue over the gold. (So thick you couldnt see the metallic effect the painter was going for.) After disassembly and stripping off the paint in brake fluid, I liked the patina look so much that I left it, just adding decals! _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

There was never a Zinger VW van model, but I'd sure like to see one! _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.
