Yeah, Martin. I doubt you'll want to trade your beautiful S model for a lowly N model. _________________ '68 Sunroof Squareback

Currently on it's way to becoming an "N" or "A" model. The decision has been made! _________________ The quest continues... |

So, the cat is out of the bag. Does anyone have a template for cutting sidemarker holes? _________________ '68 Sunroof Squareback

Eor What???? You want an early looking car or an N styled car? No side markers for N models.
Although I do like the look of them. Check with Gizmo. _________________ '68 Lotus White T34 automatic sunroof

Gotcha, but just saying......
You should be able to get the coversion done in one day even with lifting it back to proper height... _________________ '68 Lotus White T34 automatic sunroof

I was trying to be as correct as possible in making a clone of that '68 Italian square. It's a weird car but it looks to be original. I want my car to be as correct as possible, height aside. As for the conversion, it's nearly complete. Most of the holes are welded up. In case you didn't get a close enough look at my car during the 50th anniversary cruise there are a few spots that needed to be addressed. So before the conversion can be fully completed, some rust, body damage and a few other things need to be corrected. My friend Brien has been helping me fix the eye sores on my car. And by helping I mean doing most of the work. I've learned quite a bit over the past few weeks that we've worked on the car, including welding and body work. _________________ '68 Sunroof Squareback

What are you doing about rhe bumpers, welding or plugging with chrome bolts? I think this years Classic will be more than just the same old cars. _________________ '68 Lotus White T34 automatic sunroof

I think I'm going to leave the guards. I know it should only have blades, but I don't want to be accused of cal-looking. Plus, I like the guards too much. _________________ '68 Sunroof Squareback

So, last Monday I had an engine mishap that took precedence over the N model conversion. The number 2 intake valve lost its seat and was jammed open. Luckily it happened right as I turned the car off so there was no damage to the rest of the motor. Instead of working on the N model conversion/body work and paint, I had to fix the motor as the car is my daily driver. _________________ '68 Sunroof Squareback

I hear ya' Jack. Who know what this years Classic will bring out of the revolving door.
Turbo, looks like gave your car good head
Seriously, congrats on making quick work of the valve issue. When you say correct as possible, does that mean high-backs and slotted rims? |

No high-backs for euro-spec cars. I'll probably have stock wheels until I have enough for some wheels. _________________ '68 Sunroof Squareback
