I was on the phone yeterday chatting with some of the nice folks at GoWesty. Apparently their source for the new outer H4 headlight bucket assemblies is about kaput
Just thought I'd throw this out there as a bit of info. Seems like removing older vanagon headlights is going to become a priority at the yards.

Yep, they are currently available. But the subtle warning is that they do not have too many in stock, and will not be getting more AFAIK. A similar situation to the SA front brakes. _________________ 86' Syncro 2.2 Vanistan, WBXhaust, ski-pole shifter for +11hp |

That means some one else will take up the slack. GW will do something else.
Those buckets are not that hard to find, CURRENTLY. I got a spare set for when I decide to spend for that grill myself, for example.
Others will take up the slack likely too.
SA brakes supply has been problematic for a few years. I buy double to just to be sure myself. _________________ "Use the SEARCH, Luke" But first visit the Vanagon FAQ!

re: SA Brakes supply.
Which is why I recommend going with the VC big brake set up instead. Readily available (Audi) parts. _________________ 89 Westy

I have a german set stashed, teehee.
Was going to put them on either the doka or westy, the SA grills are too spendy for my taste right now though. |
