Really cool! I would take an Iltis over it though Very Happy Looks like a VW parts bin car.

I think our CV joints are better suited for the vanagon, if u-joints were better/stronger, the engineers probably would have installed them?

It looks like the Pinzgauer even had old bus style swing axle. The 4x4 guys at work jokingly try to convince me to put a straight axle setup somehow in my syncro.... I tell them I'm not interested in articulation, or a lot of work!

I would say these are ten times better and you don't have to reverse engineer them. Audi T CV joints in both ends, shortened shaft.

Svenakela,

Have you cut the shaft and welded it?

I am working on a setup at present which is slightly longer than the Syncro 16 setup so it will require spacers between the rear hub and trailing arm but it uses all factory parts, nothing aftermarket.
