I needed to carry extra 2 gallon fuel for my honda inverter for camping and these Rotopax did the trick. Very well made.
You can also fit them in the spare tire clam shell, perfect fit. You can put two of these in the clam shell with their bracket. All you have to do is drill four small holes in the clam shell and bolt the bracket and your set. 15 minute job.
Mounting on the swing out tire rack was bit more work. I had to saw off the middle part and drill a hole weld a nut and re-weld the sawed off part. It took couple of hours of work and I had a muffler shop near by do all the welding. Paid them $20
One other cool thing is you can put the Trasharoo bag right over the Rotopax.

thanks, similar to burley or Gary Lee's. I drilled a hole and welded a nut pretty simple job. |

Trasharoo over Rotopax. Excellent bag to haul all kinds of extra things. Very well made. Bag is huge. Very popular with Jeeps and other 4x4 with tire carrier.

I have a first generation trasharoo that I have been using for a few years and it has held up great. I often use it for trash or beach towels depending on the needs. I bought the latest generation for my van as well.

Can you fit more than one on the swing aware tire holder? Wouldn't mind having a gas + water container for some trips. Or just 4 gallons of gas. Havent figured out a better way than carrying a large jerry can somewhere else. _________________ 85 Westy Weekender with a Bostig Conversion. |

They make the Rotopax in difference sizes. Which size did you mount in the clam shell? I have thought about adding one to the spare tire carrier, but also haul a bike carrier and I'm not sure I'd have the clearance. My clam shell is unused and so it would be good to use that space for something. _________________ 1989 Syncro Westy

Just got my 2 gallon Rotopax mounted to my Gary Lee ladder..
Happy with it....might creep the ladder over farther to the driver's side to clear my third break light....
