Not having a clue about anything Eurovan - can anyone discuss the differences (aside from mounting) in the front versus the second row seats from a EV?

Can a pair of second row seats be effectively used for a replacement for our Vanagon front seats?

Thank you,
LP

If you are asking what I think you are asking, i.e. can you use the second row EV seats as front seats in a Vanagon, the answer is no, chef. The EV second row is similar to the Vanagon. It is a 2-person bench, with its own frame that fixes to the floor. So, there is only one seat, not a pair of seats.

The reason we can use the front seats is that VW replicated the Vanagon front seating in the EV, by placing the seats on individual pedestal seat bases, and used similar tracks to mount the seats.

I have a guy up here selling a pair of single second row seats. One has two armrests and the other has one. Not the bench type. And a third row seat that would end up as garage seating completes his sale package.

From a GLS EV. Do not know enough about EV's to say that this seat would suck, work, be a pain in the ass (literally) or what?

Sounds like the guy is selling the rear facing seats from a weekender. They would not have the capability to tilt back and the mounting is completely different than the front seats if this is the case.

'92 GL's here in Canada were available with two front facing removable bucket seats. Not common but available and stock.

Cool. I did not know about that. I do have an 8-seater EV, with a single seat installed beside the two-passenger second row bench. I will take a look to see if it has tracks, but my initial guess is that it too has a floor-mount frame, with no tracks.
