When auto parts mfgs offer a lifetime warranty I figure it's because of 1 of 4 things...
They assume the buyer won't keep his car forever
They assume the buyer won't save the original receipt forever
They figure they can always wiggle out of it later
They have a lot of confidence in their parts
Wellsir, while hunting down a misfire I found that one of my Bosch plug wires from 1997 had failed and 2 others showed high resistance. Since these have a lifetime warranty and I still had the receipt I sent them to Bosch and behold, today I got a check refunding the full amount.
Obviously the replacement set I purchased was another Bosch. |

In New York State a lifetime warranty is for 7 years.
