Anyone besides me interested in vw related interior details? The bodywork forum here has provided me with tons of valuable info but most of it was really general auto body work knowledge. How about a samba interior forum? Ya'all that get into how many screws it takes to hold a t3 ghia rear left quarter panel card (67 only) in place could find it amusing as well.,, |

Wouldn't the only people who might know the answer to that question already be hanging around the T3 Forum?
To put it another way, do you really think that the guy who knows how many screws that panel needs would take the time and trouble to wander into an upholstery forum on the slim chance someone is asking about it? Seems like a longshot to me. |

Yeah, but then, you always were, ah .... "different". Yeh, dat's it...
Spreading a little upholstery "how- to" isn't a bad idea. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Well I know it's not as interesting as how to cut out rusty metal and grind down welds but I think some general knowledge of upholstery work would benefit many of us. The t3 panel screws was a hypothetical, I'm thinking more like how to recover a seat, what to glue your carpet down with, how to hang a headliner and get the wrinkles out, cheap sources of fabric and padding, tmi vs sewfine. Things that are common to all auto upholstery jobs. Like all the posts on what air compressor to use, how to cut and bend metal, what paint to use etc. in the body forum. |
