How can I stop a leak from the bottom of my faucet where it connects at the base?
When we turn it on, water trickles out the bottom and runs behind the cabinet. We put a towel down when we use it to absorb it, but I'd like to fix it.
Any ideas? |

You can take the pump assembly out and redo the connection. The black plastic tubing running from the pump under the tank to the faucet is probably cracked where it is compressed to the bottom of the faucet. Be sure to use Teflon tape on the threads on the compression nut when you replace it.
You can add that resistor when you pull the faucet. I don't know what resistance to use, but the things are cheap from Radio Shack so you could pick up a few differnet ones and try them- just use alligator clips to hold them in line before you solder them and see what kind of pressure you get. When you find what you like, solder it in place and coat the exposed wire with liquid electrical tape or wrap with traditional electrical tape to prevent a short. |
