Help ID This Item w/ Wolfburg Crest

This is a heavy disc with the Wolfsburg crest. It has five nubs on the backside and is notched on the outer radius. The center nub has a divot but is not threaded. I'm thinking it's a center cap for rims.

Yes that's a turtleback cap missing the clip too bad it's useless without the clip
