What is this bracket for on the drivers side front wheelhouse????

I've never noticed that before. What year is the car?
Could it have something to do with the trunk drain hose? |

1970 - no idea. I have never seen that bracket on that era of car.
Did your car have evidence of a gas heater being installed in the trunk? |

I've never seen that. My $0.02 would say someone put that there for an alarm or aftermarket horn (Dukes of Hazard style maybe?). Are there any holes in the general area where someone might have run wires? |
