If I was gonna tap something for vacuum, I'd probably tap the 25$ manifold before the 200$ carb. Now if you need a ported vacuum signal it would be a different story

Sorry, I thought that was understood. Yes, I'm looking for a vacuum signal, from the carb, with respect to idle transition. Tapping the manifold, which is way more than $25 BTW, would just privide an unstable low pressue mess.

At the risk of stating the obvious, you might try contacting Gene Berg as they were the ones toting the DCNF flag years ago. I'm kinda thinking they won't be much help though as their answer was to run an 009 with everything and they aren't likely to be open to thinking outside the box. Other options would be to contact Art Thraen @ ACE, Mark Harney or Pierce Manifolds. If anyone would know how to do it those guys would.

Swapped the Compufire for a Bosch blue and some points I had sitting around, started 1st crank. Took her out for a drive, pulls harder, more RPM, and runs smoother. I think I'll be sticking with points from now on.
