Here's a handy resource to add to your in-van library, along with your road atlas and Coleman book for the national forest campgrounds. These campgrounds don't generally show on other maps so this is a good adjunct if you find yourself in the area. Be advised these very nice campgrounds are sometimes located downstream from a big honkin' dam so you might not rest too easy at night thinking about that.
While useful, the map itself when unfolded is about the size of a bedsheet so it can become cumbersome. They also have individual dam maps and department (Midwest, Southeast, etc.) maps so these might be more useful for some folks. Pick one up free at the visitor center of your friendly, local USACOE dam or check online for them.

Weird they call it lakeside camping when a lake is a natural body of water. Knowing all the reservoir camping in Colorado, the rules, lack of scenery, and the hotel like nightly fees, they would be somewhere I'd avoid. _________________ lots of VW's |

Thanks for a useful reference.
It appears to be just their lakeside CGs (or whatever you choose to call a body of water) as the Army Corps of Engineers CG I am most familiar with is not there -- it is creekside or (riverside). It is also free which may be the case for many of their lesser-known spots.
So perhaps there is a website with the other Corps of Engineers CGs listed. At least some of their CGs are in my Coleman guide but not covered with anywhere near the same level of detail as USFS CGs.
Okay, this site seems to have the ones I was thinking of:
