I was thinking it would be cool to have a how-to sticky. It could point the way to posts like colin's and other how-to's to make it super easy to access this information. Thoughts? _________________ air-cooled or nothing for me

what about the FAQ section?
someone could start a how-to thread, links only (to how to-s) and then that thread would be in the FAQ _________________ Stuart Zickefoose

How to sticky is good. I see it in other forums and it keeps a lot of questions down. _________________ 73 Campmobile

I'm assuming that (aside from Stu) none of you have even read the FAQ stickie? _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

I've been through the FAQ's, which I use a lot. But sometimes someone else does a better one and it's not replaced by the one in the FAQ's.
I just copy the ones I like and have my own How to step by step list. I put it on my Google Drive so I can access any where. I cherry pic the best ones and delete the other one.
Just food for thought. Running a site is hard enough. Organizing it to make everyone happy is impossible. _________________ 1978 2.0L FI Campmobile

I don't think we need more than 2 FAQs and 14 stickies as it is... but it would be nice to consolidate, and maybe update the FAQ, and have a section maybe of awesome build threads to keep track of? |

I too think they need to be consolidated. there are too many.
the ratwell and baywindow FAQ announcements could be one. (stick ratwells in with the baywindow one, at the top of the post i guess)
These 4 are rarely used, sorta:
Forum member map,
Baywindow spotters guide
crash test info
M-code decoder
at least the last 3 could just join the Baywindow FAQ.
My opinion, if i controlled the world, it would be so _________________ May of '72 Deluxe. 2.0L L-Jet CS & 091 trans conversion

In my opinion FAQ and How To are not the same thing. Faq can be like: what's the timing supposed to be? How to can be: how to rebuild a distributor. I just think it would be cool to take the samba's best technical articles and stick them in one well thought out place. _________________ air-cooled or nothing for me
