The short ones in my 8/60 truck are original.
I don't think they have ever been removed.

So it changed before that date.
If in doubt, I would go off what Kommercial said above, he has researched almost everything Truck:
Quote:
The long ribs are early, they were used up to mid 60 from what I have found. Then they changed to the short rib (late60?) and stayed the same until the 66/67 style with the built in seal.

I sold the black set to someone. I'm keeping the better set for my 62 DC. If I would have known earlier, you could have gotten them.

I can confirm by checking the panels from my April 1959 Double Cab, that my panels are the "long rib" style panels.

Does anyone know what kind of hardware ie. nuts bolts or screws were used to secure these in place?

Here ya go! These are shots of my original screws/washers for the divider panels from my '59 Double-Cab. Twelve of them, six per panel. Looks like a Phillips cheese head sheet metal screw and an wide, thick flat washer.

The upper row of screwholes on my '56 SC would be the same as yours, Bill. Curiously, my lower row are threaded holes (5mm). They are in the lower bracket and I had to replace the original....too rusty. I got the replacement from Gerson....not sure why these holes are threaded after seeing your post here. Question

Gerson, Jason has my longer ribbed set in Orlando with my 62 DC. I'd be happy to lend you those to make some. they are in excellent shape.

So, is Gerson reproducing these panels? I haven't seen anything from KF or anyone else. I would prefer original, but they are a pretty penny if you can even find a matching set...

Cheers!

Hi All,

Any interest on those late '66-'67 divider panels? I'm thinking on making the repro panels with resonable price.

What do you think?

Cheers,
Jacek

FWIW,
My '59 single has these dividers, that I removed from a October '60 dual chest single cab.
