Looking for a baseline jetting for my new motor
2332, 11.5:1 comp, 46x38 Comp Eliminators, SLR 316* cam with .615 measured lift at the valve, 1 3/4 merged with trap style mufffler for street, stinger for race. Carbs are 48 IDFs with 42 or 44mm venturis available. I also have F2, F7 or F11 emulsion tubes.
This motor will see some street time to break it in and then go to Bonneville in September for another shot at the 130mph Club.
Going into my 1100lb buggy. Altitude at home is 1450ft, Bonneville 4800

MURZI As long as it makes me bingo dab my gauch a bit and pee my shorts I'll be happy. Waddaya think, if I get the tune bang on, 225hp maybe a bit more or a little less? If I'm in that range I'll be ecstatic.
Mark, I plan on running the 44 vents I should be spinning the motor fast enough to get some velocity. I know after B-ville, I'd probably be wise to drop down to the 40s or 42s.
I've got an AFR and will shoot for around 12:1 seems to be the target most guys go for. I don't want to torch this top end, it's a little pricey
Hoping some of the mountain racers chime in....

You want to be there the whole time so run richer, or bring beer for the rest of the time as you look at your burnt motor. I would go with the 44 venturis for top end, larger the better, small gets more low end torque, you use F7 to enrich low rpm, f2 or 11 to rich low rpm, but f11 will lean more at top end, so not wanted, so go with f7... air correction is usually main jet minus 50 to 60....never more, you set fuel with main and adjust for small changes with air correction, |

The usual start point is for main jetting is 4 times the choke(venturis) size, so maybe a 175 main.. as you are using 44.. |

Same engine, going to try it out in the buggy, I'm building a 2332 with wedgeports for the '57 for the street.
