I have a 79 Westfalia that I have done some work to. I am now in the position to get the thing painted on a budget. I realize that this is going to be expense. But I plan on taking the chrome, lights, windows, ect. off myself.
Does anyone know what price range this would run me and any suggestions on what else I could do to cut the costs???
Thanks all!! |

A good paint job is 90% preparation - if you take everything off that eliminates many problems at the start. Is it a driver? If so you can usually get a decent job at one of the overnight paint shops such as Maaco, One-Day, or Carcoa if there is one in your area. One-Day in Sacramento does a fantastic job for the price and is only $549 for the most expensive job + options such as two-tone, clearcoat, etc. They start at $269. Obviously not a show job, but fully presentable. (onedaypaint.com) I'm a satisfied prior customer and will be taking our '78 Westy there in the next week or two.
They're only in California, Vegas, & Albuquerque. |
