My solex carbs need the throttle plated re-bushed. I found a local place that can do it for 60 a carb. Is there a kit somewhere so maybe I can try it myself? any info would be great. thanks.

the price is cheap that you were quoted. your housing for the throttle plate would most likely have to drilled to accomodate wear from the old worn bushings, so even if you were lucky enough to find a "kit", you would have to drill dead centre in the relation to each bore and the right depth and diameter to provide the interference necessary for the new bushings.
if you like machining then go ahead, but if your off you'll have a fuel leak and maybe other problems. why not find a pair of used plates the aren't as badly worn and swap them if your on a budget. |
