Brought back memories for me. 1963 bus (1976 & 1977), 4 friends, and west coast surf trips every weekend. Yeah, we lived inland a bit, but we were not from the Valley. _________________ "Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." Albert Einstein

Saw this video a year ago when some one posted it on Kombi Club Australia forum (we use the word Kombi like you guys use the word bus as a generic descriptor for VW transporters...). It is awesome!
Thanks again for posting it and making me watch it again. It's classic - the time, the bus, the music & the surf. I was 14 in 1975 and surfing road trips with older guys was definitely a highlight! _________________ My brother & I on the roof of Dad's Splitty circa 1967 - I'm the half pint with the skinny legs! |

I thought it was pretty funny how the cameraman was so stealthy getting shots of the girls in bikinis. Hardly any frontal shots, like he was afraid to get caught. And that Vega station wagon! That was a blast from the past. _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon
