Well I had a thread about a scat welded fan and a CB 36hp shroud fitment issue; for some reason I can't find it along with at least one other thread of mine(Hmmmmmm). Maybe my threads were ultimately deemed unnecessary but that’s hard to believe considering some of the threads around here.....
I had the gaps, had shimming issues and it seemed to be the norm for folks but i didn't like it because when bolting up the OE fan I didn't have these issues.
I ended up getting my OE fan welded locally and using an OE shroud, it all fits great.
Gold star for whoever can find my scat fan and 1955 build threads....may the force be with you. |

New problem.
As you know this is a CB fan shroud and cylinder tins.
I have the motor in and running. I also have a center mount bell crank linkage by CSP.
Well the linkage arm is hitting the shroud right at the lower left fan backing plate bolt.
The alt is out of line from the crank pulley by about 3/8" which means it is rearward by that much.
I'm thinking it's the aftermarket cylinder tins pushing it back out of line
Anyone got any ideas on what to do? _________________ '73 SB
