On Panels converted into Campers; EZ camper, Sundial, etc... do the camper windows curve to match the curve of the body? Or are they flat and just screwed in tight to the sheet metal? I know Westy jalousies are flat, but they are screwed into a window frame and not the outer sheet metal. Pics of conversions would be great Thanks! _________________ I've never met a Bus I didn't like.

I've got these in my panel conversion. They are flat. There is a thin piece of rubber seal between the window frame and body that takes up a small amount of the gap between the curved body and flat inner frame, but not much. The inner frame kinda flexes a little to match the contour of the body once the screws are all tightened down but not much. The rubber seal between the inner frame and outer flap is a good bit bigger and helps the outer flap seal against the now very slightly curved (now that it's screwed in) inner frame.

the ones in my panel were flat. I've got the holes welded back up so far....but ask me how odd it looks at the moment.
The bodywork guy gets to deal with it. Haha. |

Thanks for posting the photos as well as the confirmation that the windows were flat. I just sold a 60 Panel turned Camper to a friend and the Panel has about the worst windows hacked in and the worst job hacking them in. Instead of welding them up, my Buddy would like to convert to a full set of camper windows. Yes...I'm going to cut windows into a Panel!
The plan is to repair only the rust. Put in some camper windows and do an interior conversion so he and his family can enjoy it.
Can anyone provide any close up pics of some different camper windows installed? Maybe some jaliousie's? Thanks again for the responses!

I think my cut in windows were worse, they were 1 pickup truck slider cut in half First thing that got welded in. The camper windows would be a good fix if the family wants to enjoy the bus.
Yours looks like it has shooting portals.

Thanks for the pics, guys! At this point, I think finishing the job and installing all the windows is the best solution for this project. We have some Hehr Jaliousies in town. Just wanted to make sure that a flat window would go in ok without flexing the body panels too severely. I'll let you know what I find out when the time comes. _________________ I've never met a Bus I didn't like.

I used to hate those, but they've been growing on me the last few years. I t probably wouldn't take too much arm twisting to get the new owner of the Panel to install one of those. Wouldn't bother me one bit. _________________ I've never met a Bus I didn't like.
