Bad news bears. after i got the car home and gutted the interior, i discovered that the passenger side floorboard is really rotton. drivers side is not bad, but not great either. unbody floorboard repair is not on my list of skills. i may have to bail. |

in all reality a mk1 scirocco is a big undertaking anyways, schit mk2 parts are hard enough to find...
my suggestion is, wait it out, store it somewhere and only work on it when you can afford it.
trust me it'll pay off in the end...
mk1 scirocco's have hit the endangered species list, keep it and hide it, trust me you'll be pissed when you can afford to work on it and you don't have it anymore... _________________ current mess in my driveway:

I forgot about this thread. Well, as mentioned the 75 was super rusty and i didnt have the space or money to restore it so i let it go. But after looking more for another MK1 Scirocco that was an easier project, i finally found this 79. I NEED A WINDSHEILD
crazy clean, 99.8% rust free and runs and drives. not much to thread about but ill post some more pics as i clean and detail it. |

how sweet love old brown mk1's
its funny i just picked up a 75 b1 european passat and it was designed by the same guy that did the scirocco. look at the similar lines and lots of parts are interchangeable.
