Well , as far as I can figure out, it`s the originale coulors for the carpet set (square weave). Antracit at the front and silver/gray at the rear - with the very cool carpet pad set, to my black (L41) VW, with blue/gray upholstery. I hope so, anyway. Got the complete rubber floor mats also...in grey. Very cool Smile
I`ll post some pictures, when its all installed, for sure...but it will take some time. Have to do it right and enjoy the work Wink

Hello there,

I just aquired an (I was told) 10-'57 body which I want to build up again.
Just reading this thread made me aware that the front 3-rib plate where the identification plate is, would make my car a '59 model?

I am also interested to learn why there isn't a grab handle on the dash? Is this a sign of early or late model in the 58-59 range?

Thanks!

Original colour is Capri (blue) L335 and will stay that way.

Still looking for an early steering colomn with switch handle and 58/59 steering wheel.. If anyone has anything reasonable priced?
Cheers,
Walter

From the looks of it, it looks to be a Fjord blue 59 model. As far as the grab handle goes, they didnt come factory until 61. Prior to 61 they were available as an accessory.

Thanks for that!
In the last pic I thought you can just see the remains of the color sticker saying '..PRI.' ? Thought that could have been Capri?

I cleaned it some more and says 'Geprüft' (tested) in red and the color:

This windscreen washer was also on the car. Seems old? They used a button/switch in the dash with 141 955 517A for it?

Yep, i didnt even see the sticker, but your right, its Capri blue. The windshield washers are cool, and would have been a dealer installed accessory, or po installed. All in all it looks like the car is pretty straight, and that the original paint might clean up nicely.

I came across a '59 radio delete plate with trim here recently. I've never seen one before (not the '58-'59 specific one with the solid trim anyway) and thought I'd share. I don't intend to use it and at the point in my travels don't have space for it. Anyone interested?

Yes, me, me! Very Happy
I still have a hole there (see above) and nothing to put in there yet.
I'll happily pay the shipping costs!

Best regards,
Walter

Does Denmark DOT require the tail lights to be mounted so high?

AlteWagen;
Actually I don`t know. Didn`t see /think about it, before now. The tail lights were like that, when I bought the car. I`ll check that out....and maybe put them down a little bit.
