Well the weather men are wrong more than right but....
Right now they are saying there will be a brief shower right now (6 to 8 PM Saturday). Tomorrow (Sunday) it will be sunny for the morning and then late afternoon showers will move in. The afternoon rain has been moving latter and latter each forcast.
Hey and the worse is you ride will get a bath
I am loaded and ready to roll |

Hi Stan,
As a last minute addition I have loaded the car with early VW Literature to show some of VW's early advertising and brochures. Hope we can find a place to show it off....

This was my first time to this show and even though I did not have my Bus or Fastback with me I had a great time. Very nice show. Was surprised at the amount of other Volkswagens there. Who ever owns the 68-69 Fastback; beautiful car! The barndoors were awesome! Great show! Hope to go to it next year. |

Agreed! I didn't even know that I liked squarebacks till I saw that car.
Some shout outs here: Great Campout at Winter Island - thanks to Mike (obnoxiuosblue) for introducing us to this place.
Also - really great eats and coffee at Chris's Front Street Coffee shop - I had the "Transporter" sandwich for lunch. Among others are the "Air Cooled" and "Jerome". His place is a definite must stop if ever in Salem.
Stan and I caught the Ansel Adams exhibit at the Peabody Essex museum - glad we caught it - and the Narbonne House (1675). Still lots more to see next year. Thanks for driving - riding in the bullet hole Mango is always great. I'll make a pasta dinner again next year but without the special ingredient!
TimWhy - thanks for the company, coffee AND the awesome VW milkcrate cover. _________________ John - 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia "Weekender"

I popped my transporterfest cherry today. I did not have my car either but I'm glad I went, despite being detoured by the marathon. The museum was great. Will put this one on the list... Nice job Stan! _________________ 63 T1 Ragtop Gulf Blue

A great drive down, great show, and drive back! Glad the weather held off.
Mine is the white '90 with black wheels, the only non-westy pop top Vanagon there.
