Is their a trick to getting out the spark plugs? Should I apply a non sieze lube to them, or am I just missing something? The books say to just pull, and I did, along with trying to unscrew them but I don't want to strip them. I think I may have some funky covers on them?
Any ideas or experience on this? |

Grab the sparkplug wire ends by the hard plastic part, wiggle and pull harder. Then the plugs come out just like any other. |

are we talking about removing the spark plug wires from the plugs, or the plugs from the engine itself? the wires should pull off with a firm tug (and a little wiggle). the spark plugs need to be unscrewed from the engine. to loosen, turn counter-clockwise (righty-tighty, lefty-loosey) |

Anti-seize is for the threads although I think it's best not to use it (Bosch plugs are nickel plated to come out of the aluminum head easily. The anti-seize will just turn to hard crud and you'll have to chase the threads after each plug service).
Dielectric grease is used on the metal contact inside the spark plug wire connector. Just a dab is all that's needed. |
