From my perspective vintage VW's are beyond being used for daily driver purposes. It would be best to have your car parked in a garage, and kept away from the elements on a daily basis. Zack |
Uhhh...yeah...I disagree |

Good job. Ghia's were ment to have a turbo with the big engine compartment they have. Lots of space and plenty of room to close the deck lid making the whole car look like a sleeper. I'm waiting to see some 1/4 mile time slips _________________ 2017 Street Comp Champion - Thunder Valley Raceway Park - Noble, OK

NJ John, I'm in the Danville area. Nice and quiet until I start my Ghia. |

Did I miss it in first post, what fuel/spark management are you using? |

ps2375, you only missed it by a few years.
Fuel delivery is handled by the CB fuel injection system that relies mostly on the TPS for it's signal. Give it more gas, the injectors spray more fuel. The ignition is handled by the MSD pieces, and the signal it gets from one of the throttle bodies, controls the timing. As boost begins, the timing begins to retard to a max you can set.
It's a very reliable setup.
Come Spring, I'll get more pictures of my car. It has a narrowed front beam which allows me to put fat rubber on the front and back. The interior is 2 poly seats, lots of gauges, and a 1,000 watt Sony system with 2-12" Kickers, a 4pt roll bar, and 5 way seat harnesses.

I'm familiar with efi systems, I've built a couple of MS units and installed it on one of my cars and helped tune a few others. I just didn't see it listed.
Well done, I hope it stays together for you and runs well for a long time. |

Given you had the choice to do it over, would you stick with the CB fuel injection or go with something else. |

Here in Virginia, they require you to keep all four tires on the highway. That's going to be a problem for you, isn't it? _________________ 1973 Karmann Ghia
