I have a 91 Golf GTI. When I press the brake pedal hard, like for a sudden stop, then release the pedal any, I lose brake pressure. Any advise will be helpful. Thanks

Could be a vacuum leak, or even worse....a fluid leak. I've had both on my various A2's over the years. Check out all of your vacuum lines, and then check to see if your fluid is low. If the fluid is low, it is definitely going somewhere...and bad brakes are unsafe.
