I have a 2054cc engine in my 1970 fastback. Currently the car is running rough, lot of carb back-fires/popping and when I drive it there really isn't a whole lot of power, especially on the top end. I was thinking of changing the carb's out for a weber progressive set up. Is this a bad move? What be the correct size to go with for this type of engine? Where would be the best place to purchase a weber progressive set up?
Thanks all-

Absolute worst choice to make. And yes, this is a bad move.
I don't know IF there is a good place to buy a weber progressive. Shocked

Let us know what type of Dell's you have, and IF possible, the jet sizes you've got in them. I'm sure there are some people here that can help you set them up better. Very Happy

You'll have to hack up the engine cover ... or leave off the engine cover...

Certainly not something I would do on purpose.

Yup, I'm not sure what other issues there are with the weber progressive other than hacking the deck lid, but I know you'll hate it. When I bought my squareback it came with one, its next on the list of things to change. Total PIA if you have 3 dogs and frequently load shit in the back!

Dells are one of the best choices on carbs, progressives are probably the worst for a type 3.
