VERY WELL WRITTEN AND CONCISE. NICE TO SEE PEOPLE NOT ROLLING OVER AND LETTING THEMSELVES GET SCREWED!! IF THIS KNUCKLEHEAD HAD DONE SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO ME I'D BE IN HIS BACKYARD RIGHT NOW. SEEMS LIKE YOU BENT OVER BACKWARD FOR THIS GUY (PAYING FOR HIS TRIP AND GIVING HIM MONEY UP FRONT FOR SOMETHING SIGHT UNSEEN) AND HE TOOK MAJOR ADVANTAGE OF YOU. IF WHAT YOU SAY IS TRUE, AND I HAVE NO REASON TO DOUBT IT, I HOPE IT ALL WORKS OUT IN YOUR FAVOR. SORRY TO HAVE TO READ SUCH AN ACCOUNT. GOOD LUCK!! |

Is it just me or does this seem like a rather odd deal? It really is a shame that people cannot rely on word of mouth agreements and honest people anymore. Does Mario have any response to this? I would like to hear both sides of the story or at least hear from another person who has been taken by him before I pass judgement on him.
At this point it is just another lesson that if you want it done right do it yourself! Good luck on this John, I will vouch for you and say that everytime I have done buissness with aircooled.net I have walked away happy, and have even gotten advice on my projects from someone there. _________________ ‘60 SWR walk-thru Kombi

what is posted on that site is not everything. That is just the information that counters Mr. Gavazzi saying that
1) he never received any payment from me for the work on the 64 (which is still unfinished 3 years later)
2) that he gave me a title to the car and never got paid
lies after lies after lies. For 2 years Mr. Gavazzi posted a ton of lies on what really transpired (even lied to his "lawyer"). Problem was he never counted on people trying to piece his BS story together step by step, and finding it made absolutely 0 sense. He also didn't count on my keeping the receipts, checks, and paperwork.
He even took the parts I supplied for the car and sold them to someone else, who's going to get surprised by a lawsuit for having my car parts on his car. Boy is he going to be pissed, and I hope he goes over and does some ass kicking, Mr. Gavazzi needs a good one.
Mario continues to whine publicly that he's misunderstood and that others are on a vendetta against him. We totally understand him, and we ARE trying to spread the word about this crook.

Folks, keep an eye on this site. I have been waiting for it to come on line. I was working with Mario during part of the time John's car sat outside stripped and rusting. I never could get a good answer from Mario as to why work had stopped on it. Indeed it seemed the work stopped as soon as the car was stripped ??!!?? I lost a few grand and all my tools working with/for Mario. I went to court for the easiest proved loan and got a judgement, which has thus far proven impossible to collect. I decided, based on that, not to throw good money after bad. I have not gone back to court for recovery of my tools or property (set of weber 40's, OG beetle body parts, new carpet kit and headliner, etc....etc...) I have been in contact with some of Mario's victims and will now start renewing those contacts, so they may present their own stories and proofs to this website. This is only the begining. What you see posted is the skeleton. The site will naturally flesh out as more people come forward.

mario is a skumbag, that's all i have to say. i HAVE some proof that the stuff on john's site is true, but it'd incriminate other people that didn't know what they were buying so i'll leave it at that. but wtf, he definitely doesn't have a bit of decency if he can rip people off, and turn around and sell their property to someone else as it's his own.
i've noticed mario keeps saying "stop by my shop and i'll show you my work isnt shit", well give me some fucking directions. _________________ Ostküste

Keeping quiet about people buying stolen property is no more ethical then the guy stealing it in the first place.
It pisses me off that people know that my stuff was sold to other's, and I'm the one taking the ass reaming. I have lost $10k to this guy, and you are keeping quiet because of a lot smaller sum. That's just not right.
The way I was raised, knowing what "you do" and not doing anything about it is just as bad as stealing it. What you SHOULD do is tell them they bought stolen property, and tell them who's it was, and see if they are man enough to do the right thing (aka: honorable). It will also let you know if they are dirtbags or if they have character themselves. They should also contact Mario and have a few "words" about putting them in a bad spot, by putting them in a situation where they are buying STOLEN PROPERTY.
I already know who a couple individuals are that bought some of my stolen property, they will be receiving lawsuit papers very soon and will have their own share of headaches (not to mention the police). Trust me, paying me for the stuff is a lot cheaper then what is in store for them.

WTF? So you're saying you're willing to protect the people who have purchased parts known to be stolen? Fuck that, I agree with John. It would be far more honorable for the people who bought the parts (I'm assuming unknowingly) to return them or to contact him than to keep them claiming "I didn't know" after the fact. Sounds to me like they could be useful in putting douche bag Mario in his place. |

Submachinegun,
Though I agree with your assessment of Mario, I'm shocked that a member of this forum had a bunch of VW Stuff stolen, another member knows where some of it is, and isn't saying anything!
WTF!!!!!???? What ELSE are you holding back on? Way to further the VW Hobby buddy.
Do you steal as a source of side income, and this is a Code of Honor Among Thieves and Dirtbags?
Better not let those guys in the Rants find out you do this, you better watch your back! Does anyone else know you behave like this WRT stolen property?

Do you know what "receiving stolen property" and "accessory to a crime" mean? While I appreciate your attitude toward Mario, I would hate for you to be "charged with a crime" for protecting your friends by not speaking up. You seem to be an upright guy- do the right thing. _________________ Don't take life too seriously- you'll never live thru it....

Actually, if as you say, the people unknowingly purchased stolen parts, there is no incrimination. However, now that they know for a FACT that the parts were in fact stolen, and they have decided to keep them, well, that is very incriminating. Just as incriminating as you keeping quiet about who has these stolen parts. If they truly didn't know what they bought was stolen, but now do, they should return the stuff to the REAL owner, and legally pursue the "seller". Anything short of that, and they might as well have stolen the stuff theirselves.
The person that buys/keeps stolen property is no better than the thief who stole it. They are one in the same. Thieves, (and those who facilitate them) SUCK. If the people you are "protecting from incrimination" had a shred of decency, they'd return Johns stuff, plain and simple. If not, they are EXACTLY like Mario (scumbag). |

Yeah, I'm sort of disappointed in submachinegun myself. I sort of understand the logic, but it isn't thought out very well at all. What you're doing is aiding and abetting Mario- totally... whether you see it that way or not. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

John, need to check your belt, your *ss is starting to show again.
While your right about all of this, your communicating it all wrong by attacking submachinegun and anyone else who may have bought any parts from Mario.
As your well aware, anything Mario does is questionable. Stating that people know for a fact that they bought stolen parts is BS. Only Mario can tell you if the parts where stolen, I doubt that he remembers and I highly doubt he keeps any records. If I had bought any parts from Mario, I would certainly be concerned that they where legit. But on the same note, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it without any proof.
Your situation sucks, no doubt. I'll gladly have your back vs. Mario's wrong doing.
Flexing your internet muscles against "others" that may or may not of bought stolen parts is only going to hurt you without proof. I guarantee, if you provided proof (more than he said she said) that people would be "man enough", as you put it.
You need to pursue Mario and learn to quit while your ahead.

What they are jumping at is that Submachinegun said he had proof of the theft of parts. So either he or the people that bought the parts knew they were off Johns car. _________________

yes mario was VERY wrong! still is im pretty sure! but i have to agree with danlarson on this one.....people that bought parts probably didnt know they were stolen, of course. the only one who knows the total truth is mario himself. i, like dan would take up for you john over mario anyday! i dont like his ethics just like most other people out there. just go after mario alone, he will get what is coming to him one day! _________________ OST KÜSTE |

I don't care what you consider bandwagoning or "muscle flexing," if an asshole admits that he has proof of stolen goods being resold but chooses not to incriminate his "buddies," then fuck 'em, that guy's as worthless from the moral standpoint as Mario himself. I think John should be afforded the opportunity to see what proof that submachinegun claims to have, but if the latter refuses to help John out then as far as I'm concerned, he's no better than Mario. |
