What's on your list? Was it on last year's list?
Fuel tank drop et al
Hopefully Jalousie windows on the two middle windows.
Transferring some things over to the auxillary battery.
Once fuel tank done then drive it weather (no salt) depending.
oops I skipped a year. Corrected now. _________________ '09 2.5L Jetta 5 cylinder, 5 spd, super turbo, see thread in H2O Cooled Jetta, etc...

I plan to get my winter bus back on the road and finish all that it needs to run well.
This particular bus is a '90 I purchased for scrap metal (by the pound) and have fixed up into an inspected driver. It still gets 13mpg and smells rich, as well as having no functional heaters or front windows. This year I plan to get those things all fixed immediately once I get home in Jan, as well as putting it up on the lift and finishing rust proofing/treating the entire underside.
Then I plan to drive the crap out of it.
It's been sitting for 6 months now with only a few occasional rides around the block. : /
While that's up and running, my syncro will be stored. I plan to rebuild and install Louvered windows, rebuild the suspension including new lift springs, and maybe even check my engine oil (it's been about two years). Heck, i might even change that engine oil!
I was going to get it painted this winter, but the stars aren't all in alignment just yet. perhaps another year this will have to wait. |

New PS pump, PS steering gear, and radius rod bushings this winter. Maybe the extending Westy table mod, and some interior lighting upgrades. Then try to take it out on nice days just to keep things moving.
Springtime = coolant system replacement with all new hoses and some other replacement parts. Once that's complete I'll feel ready to take it for some long trips, but alas, my vacation time this year will be burnt up in Hawaii and back to PA for my friend's wedding. Both of those trips will be by air. _________________ '91 Westfalia GL Automatic (GTA "Turbo" Rebuild w/Peloquin) and 2.3L GoWesty Engine |

Front end rebuilt completely. Yes it was on last years list but got bumped by the Zetec. Get rid of the Weitec springs.
Rest not on the list last year.
Inverter install with better house battery - have the inverter, cables and fuse block, need to source a battery
Rear bumper with 2 in receiver.
Install the LED back up light I bought 2 months ago.
Install my tach cluster, MIL light from Zetec
Still contemplating the coolant pipes.
That enough?
Wouldn't it be Winter 12/13? Or are we really thinking ahead? _________________ Its a mistress; an expensive, whiney, needy bitch of a mistress. going from 1.8l digifant to 1.8T baby!
not a canned kit, but a DIY effort as that's what I can afford. but have the parts and the tools and the skills. so vroom vroom.
hoping to take a week trip up the St Lawrence to Saguenay Fjord for mid summer Whale watching.. come back to NY via Northern NH/VT woods lookin for Moose.
and if possible get a 2nd Westy camper running & operational for a spare/family camper. that one is going to be a 2.0l ABA swap. _________________

New stereo and soundproofing throughout. I'm working on the soundproofing now, getting my interior torn out. Also new front window rubber to quiet the wind noise. |

I am also in the process of installing an AC system (in-dash). New hoses, condensor, drier, etc. Also on the list is replacing the front heater core, the blower motor, and fan resistor. While I'm in there, replacing the ignition switch, passenger side wiper assembly, and possibly add some LED lighting. That should keep me busy for a bit. _________________ - Bill, '93 Eurovan Syncro Weekender (2.5 manual ACU) |

Seam rust! Actually I just started it. Hopefully it will be a 2012 job.
Revise/improve layout of auxiliary electrical system.
Get rid of that pinche knock sensor code - on "the list" for four years.
Drive to Alaska.
And perhaps say "hi" to Dave ^ on the way. _________________ '90 Westy Syncro EJ25 (money pit #1)
