Well Lee as far as prices go, I think that they are quite high. But as fewer and fewer buses are out there the supply and demand deal comes into play. I actually started my VW journey in 1975 with bugs and then got hooked on buses in the early 80s, the time of cheap buses. I recently bought a 63 panel bus that is very nice but I paid maybe 6 times the price I would have paid in the 80s. But to be honest I wouldnt chage a thing, a great hobby for myself that has lead to lifelong freindships. That said, I will have another Mango when the right one comes along(are you reading this Pete??) no matter the price. Actually the one I want is on page 5 of this thread(is dont look like that now) and the one I let get away is one page 7 |

Hey guys, since we have a common passion here, why don't we celebrate it a little? :
For those of you who are coming to OCTO in February should we try to park together ? Is this corny ?
I would just love to see a bunch of Mangos next to each other - that'd be awesome.
What do you all think Who is in ?
I could call them up and ask if they could accommodate this - kinda like a club entry.

I received a email from a individual on the site local to me about a picture he had of my Grass shack bus from 1966, needless to say it is very exciting as some of the logos are faded so much I didn't know exactly what they all were.
I would like to thank the member for this photo (he would like to remain anonymous)

I was just browsing the in-laws' Super 8 film collection and saw a highway scene taken in Chicago in 1961. Eight lanes of traffic rushing under the overpass appeared to interest my father-in-law. Then, in the middle of all these American cars, a Mango goes wailing past in the fast lane. That was a surprise. |
