Progress has been a little slow through the holidays, but got some major sanding and body work done. The nose is sanded down with a few extra surprises, rear corner dents got pulled, and 10 pounds of crud was removed from the undercarriage.

Have some more photos to post, coming a little slow as the body panels seem like they may never come. Didn't want to go with the WW panels, but they seem to be the most repsonsive for a decent price.
The nose had some major damage but the dents were popped out. The rear corner was crushed in and has now beed popped out and primed.

Well, found out we have a few non paying tenants living in the bus. The squirrel nest almost caught fire when we were replacing metal.
Major Dent
Tried popping it out
found a squirrels nest behind the nose, and the bus is 5lbs lighter
major dent on the window frame, had to replace metal

We are starting work on the frame, then going to the floors. Working from the inside out. With all the body work done on the nose, would have been cheaper to just buy a replacement one..
The Funky Green Panels
cargo floors and front floor need complete resto
Should start taking shape soon! _________________ Restoring a 1960 23 Window |

I found some older pictures of the bus. She sat like this for a few decades. Pretty much everything was there, minus the middle seat and a few other items.
Does anyone know if these mirrors are original?

Okay, so here we go again, the passenger and cargo doors are getting hammered out and had to replace some metal on both. The frame is pretty bad, might just have to replace the whole frame to be cost efficient...ANY IDEAS???
HELP!

So, what are your thoughts on the Eastwood Rust Dissolver? It looks like it works ok. Does it take multiple applications to get the really deep stuff? My bus roof is covered with a good coat of surface rust. It grinds off to clean metal, but I'd like to minimize the grinding or blasting.
Nice bus! _________________ Doug

Ive been told Eastwood is the only way to go, been using the aerosol spray in all the inner metal and in between the salvageable pressed metal, like the doors and around the windows. _________________ Restoring a 1960 23 Window |
