Looks very slick! Where'd you source those center caps?

It's no biggie. I just have never seen center caps offered with these wheels when they've been for sale in the samba classifieds. No idea what an original one looks like.

Circling around to the 2 liter classic. Funny how a wheel intended for a Porsche has a VW logo on the inside?

The Porsche 914 was a joint venture between Volkswagen and Porsche- I think it started as a Karmann Ghia replacement, with VW selling the 4 cylinder version and Porsche selling the 6 cylinder version, but it became the entry level Porsche

No they have not been chromed, but faked with 3M, 4.5 mil aircraft grade, dead-soft aluminum tape burnished down & polished on the spines, and polished stainless early ford style trim rings.
Having all the pieces sitting in storage for many years, total cost 3 cans of spray paint for 4 wheels.

Can someone tell me if other vw wheels from a MK1 golf or polo(european)
have the same bolt pattern 130pcd ?As I like my stock 1972 1200 beetle wheels-but the tyre selection available in Ireland is very limited-my local tyre dealer only gets me 155/60 or 165/50 at the mo-thanks.

To answer your question jarmchairpilot-NO.

VW went from a 130mm bolt pattern to a 100mm when they first went watercooled (Mk1).
