Moderator note:
This was split off from the Danny Hunter thread as there no reason to believe it is the same person:

*************************

I am a moderator on bradleygt.com and a person going by the name KB has just joined. His first post has listed a Bradley gt barnfind for sale but posts a photo that has been cut out of a magazine and using the email junkmailatkenbos.com
http://bradleygt.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=ads&thread=1569&page=1

His hosting page http://kenbos.com/porsche/index.html is a page of 914 parts for sale

Location: Mid Michigan zip 48827: Email [email protected] or phone 517-663-3505

Is this the same person aka Danny Hunter?

He has posted an identical add here on the samba.

I do not know but I did some look ups:

The 914parts user was listing his ads from Easton, Pennsylvania 18042
His IP address was listed as PA when I look it up.

The person above lists his ad from Lansing, MI and the IP matches that.

My ears are burning.

I am the accused. I hope this is not a trail without jury?

I am not a scammer.

Let me know how I may clear up my name. This attack is totally unwarranted as far as I am concerned, but in the sake of getting rid of scammers I understand the need for caution that has been exercised.

Thanks

Oh, BTW, I do photoshop, I took an online photo of what my vehicle looks like (color and interior) and photoshopped cragar rims onto it, color corrected and did a quick cutout.

Thank you for the reply. This and his response to me and the Bradley board leads me to beleive that he is legit. No need to post a photo with todays newspaper however in the future do not use doctored photos when trying to sell something.

I dare say that not a single full page advertisement photo in any major magazine is not "photoshopped" (now a verb)

Do you really think that the models with good facial structure also are blemish free? Or does anybody actually look like the models pictures that you see at the Macys Makeup counter? Or what does your wife look like without the makeup? LOL

Senior portraits, glamor photos, even family pictures are generally tweaked to look better than the real people.

I photoshop thousands of pictures a year. They are all representations of the real thing... but better.

A picture is only a visual representation of something real. HDR has gotten closer to what the human eye really sees but no picture is "the real thing" only a representation.

If you had a professional photographer take a photo of either you or your car, he would be expected to use lightroom or photoshop to provide you with a perfected final product. That is why we went digital! For better pictures. It is the new reality. Some people do not have the skills to do it, some do.

Well anyway, that is my opinion, you are welcome to disagree...

I simply posted my representation of what I was selling.

But taking a picture of the vehicle for sale gives buyers a more accurate representation of the actual condition than a photoshopped image. That is the purpose of photos.

Posting some random photo of a car that a car that is not yours instead of an actual photo is:
1. A bad idea
2. A red flag that it may be a scam ad

#1 is my opinion.
#2 is not.

In general, any photoshopped or otherwise altered photo of a car that is for sale here is rarely received well, even if it is your vehicle pictured.
