Greetings from Frozen Winnemucca! Blizzard most of the way, dumbasses slid off left and right, and one fine bus marching confidently along.
I'm at the Model T, room 213. 775-623-2588. Call me! I may be at the 21 table...

Fuck yes I'll split those 8s.

A little love for the Bad Doggy Dog! I haven't made a SST song in a few years, this just seemed right. Carry on...The SC Crew is leaving at high noon!

I know the idea is to travel through the worst conditions and make it through, but I have to say coming out from underneath the clouds that cover Seattle most of the winter, I have thoroughly enjoyed the warm sunny skies the last two years and looking forward to it again.

Looking forward to that sunrise Thursday morning as we make our way up hill. The first 4 hours of the actual trip are the best by far in my opinion.

Pictures for reflection on last year, I really want to get another one like the first one this year.

Nice! That was my phone's wallpaper a couple days ago!

Hey guys,

Richard just gave me a call and gave an update from about the Victorville area. His engine head temp is running a bit high under load or in a headwind. He's trying to suss out how to correct this.

His new gearbox is making some odd noises and he's seeking someone who ideally has a drum-to-drum rear end ready to swap out.

Please contact him directly at 480-236-2606. These issues may put him out of this year's SST completely if not resolved.

Update from Richard and it's a doozie!

He's at least safely at Crazy J's right now in Apple Valley, CA.Roof, driveway, and tools. He has lost 1st and 4th gear. And he's got lures out into the local community short of delving into the LA basin to source a gearbox. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated by Richard. And by Shastanistas everywhere. Smile

I just said a little prayer to the Bus Gods above for Richard and RustyBus!
Just talked to him and it sounds like he's getting a trans built today. With luck and some wrenching he'll be at the Rampage Spot tomorrow!

Over and Out, Mr. Armstrong
