I thought it would be a good thread to see what other wives are saying about our hobbies/heavy metal mistresses.

I'll start ... Today my wife asked ... "why is there a van part in the kitchen sink" promptly followed by "there are to be no van parts in the kitchen sink sink" ha ha ha ... Laughing Laughing

Cheers,
Mike

Followed by, "...but you all ready spent...."

But also "..where are we going on this years long trip?"
And "...we need to go camping more often.."

And best of all.... "Yes, we can buy that" Very Happy

Why can't she look in the rear view mirror?

And, I guess you're going to have to get her that auxiliary battery thing for next time and it'll be her fault.

Finally, WHY are you guys telling your partners how much things cost? What am I missing. I have *no* plan what so ever on telling my dh how much anything costs. I'm not saying I'll lie, I actually suck at that, just change the subject or run when I've just bought something! Twisted Evil

My DH made a comment about buying it and then parking it in the driveway and throwing money at it instead of using it b/c it'd probably be cheaper. THEN, compared it to The Money Pitt movie. LOL I told him he'd have to sleep in the tent next time we go camping and take the car along b/c my camper van won't like him and will certainly break down w/ someone w/ *that* attitude in it!

All of the above, especially the time factor.

When talking to her friends:

"Ask him to see photos of his mistress. He even posts them online"

"I tack on thirty minutes to whatever time frame he gives me. Minimum."

And directly to me:

"For the last time, stop using the dish towels to dry your van parts!"

"I've long stopped believing you when you say this is the last 'mod' to the van."

"It's almost midnight, get off the Samba and go to sleep."

And my favorite:

"If I had a pair of headlights would you spend as much time with me?" Wink

"Wtf!, van parts in the dishwasher!!!!!, followed by more cursing"

me

"At least I used pots and pans cycle"

her

"That's why my house smells like burnt oily ass"

Me

"Did they come clean? If not, be a dear and give them another go round"

The other deal comes after every major credit transaction. She has this phone app that snitches on me for every purchase over 50.00. Usually within ten seconds of making an order she lets me know. Good thing is I don't need to know what I have in the van because my accountant keeps me informed, if I feel like hearing it or not.

The best one ever and why I know we will always be together...

October 2008...me..."I'm thinking about changing the furnace in the house. Ours is old."

Her..."As long as it doesn't affect the purchase of our Westy!"

Very Happy

Still have the same furnace.

Brian.

Lets take out a loan for a Subaru engine.
This is after replacing the head gaskets 3 times and getting towed home twice.

Another time related one ... You said I'd have my stall in the garage by the time snow falls or when is this going to be done?
