Picked this up north of Bismarck, ND last March. Super nice shape. No rottingin the body anywhere. More pix to come. This is just the conversation starter.

What a great find! Is it wrong to say it'd look nice with a cleanup, paint job and new tires?

Nice find...I always get a kick out of the posters when they say Slamm it.
Well golly if you are using it for a rural mail carrier that would make if rather difficult when delivering to rural mail boxes.

It's an excellent car for sure! I wish it were mine. I'd rig up a dummy steering wheel and column on the left side with a chain and sprocket setup so it turned when the other wheel was turned. Then get a dummy of Superman or a zombie or something and put it in the left seat and drive around like that. Idea

I believe Marc at shoptalkforums actually is a rural mail carrier and did the opposite, turning a normal bug into a RHD. He might know how reverse the process in your car.

That'd be a good April Fools prank for this year. Laughing

Amazing that it is so solid. How did you find out about the car? Does the engine run? Do you know what town used it for their mail deliveries?

What did you do to the rear to get it at that height? I like it, just curious because I'm about to tackle mine.

Thanks in advance, great looking beetle.

Wow, now that's a find! RHD and no body rot? You did exactly what I would have done with that car. Got it running, slammed it. I know there are two schools of thought and I'm of the 'if it's a volkswagen, slam it' school. Great car!
