For the wheels and bumpers you can use Krylon, Dover White.
For the Mango, do not make the mistake to get a match to the original. The best is to take a exterior body part (gas lid, engine lid, rear hatch, cargo door etc.) to a paint matcher who does it by eye. I know an incredible guy in Los Angeles who does it - pm me if you need the contact (I have done quite a few paint matches with him).

Hope this helps!

That's the color I used for the bumper and will for the wheels, saw that on one of the samba threads... And I plan to match it to my gas door to try and match the fade in the paint. Matching the seagull grey will be a bit harder... I'll pm you shortly, thanks!

… took the Mango in yesterday for a new headliner (have you ever driven a bus w/out windows ?) - that is exciting! Should have it back next week. Can't wait - I did quite some research regarding material and prices for labor (not willing to go for the $1400 and up quotes). We'll see how that turns out.

This emblem would look great on this bus, especially since it came off this
bus...I'd be willing to trade for a straight original...

NEW MANGO DOOR IN THE HOUSE !!!

… I guess sometimes a little patience goes a long way. Finally my wanted ad (thx SAMBA!) bore fruit/mango. Sam sent me this PS door for a fair price ($225 shipped). It features nice og paint and is very solid - no rust except around those memory holes someone drilled into the beltline for some flashy big mirrors:

It needs some more clean up to bring out all the og paint - there is some glue under the door handle and some more house paint on the belt line:

The biggest challenge are the broken out hinges. I am thinking now to tack weld the door in with the hinges on the bus to ensure a good fitment .. looking forward to the challenge.

Ahhh! Looks good! Much nicer than the 2 passenger doors i have. I'm sure you'll do a good job on the hinges and make it work for you.

Sounds like a good deal on the door too! Painted the rims white on mine over the weekend. And just a pic I thought was cool:

Giel, I don't know the bus, but keep in mind that what you see on your screen most probably is very different from the actual color. That means, if you get this person's / buses color specs and paint your bus, I might turn out completely different! I'd actually say, it will turn out different.

Only get paint specs form vehicles you have seen in person !

And as a little side note: if you decide to go Mango and get the factory paint specs, you'll also be off what you usually see: aged Mango (I am assuming somewhat yellowed). … I am all about custom eye matched paint.
