I have a rare engine compartment light on my 1956 bug. Photos can be seen on the accessory forum page. If anyone else out there has seen another one of these lights, please let me know. |

Besides the Blue 1956-59 Type 1 version, there is also a 1956-67 Black type 2 version as well.

I answered a Craigslist ad for "standard vw steering wheel $100.00" a couple months ago. When he sent a pic, it was a 3 spoke Petri for very early beetle. It's funny how standard doesn't mean today what it meant in the past. I got it plus a ton of other vintage parts. _________________ "The gratification comes in the doing, not the results." sincerely, James Dean

I had a complete 1960-64 Volmac camping kit several years ago. I posted pics of it in the gallery section. It came with a pair of seat recliners, a folding shifter, some headrests & a folding steering wheel. Didn't have any privacy screens though.

I've never seen that steering wheel before.
Is that steering wheel home made, or were these actually sold by a company that produced more of them? And what are the big mounting brackets on either side for?
