That would be great, BoB. Do you have a pretty good handle on the scale?
And thanks to FAB4 for the help. That should work perfectly. (Or at least whimsically.)
Maybe at some point Big Al or somebody can get us a good straight-on photo of the rear artwork (Snorkie's tramp stamp). _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

It looks like more time, effort and money has gone into the model. Full size Snorklestang is a source of drama, nothing else. |

Hi Fab4Fan,
Thanks again for the graphics
GreG, I am not familar with the scale of the Snorklestang.
What VW in my collection may be a similar scale
Also, I am out of town for another week or so before I can make some decals.
When I get your scale information, I will make a couple of sets with slightly different sizes. Then you can pick and chose the right ones for your Snorklestang. _________________ Hacksaw BoB

Your model is disgusting, thoughtless, excessive, ugly, hideous, nauseating, tasteless, wasteful, and just plain stupid.
In other words, you have captured the essence of the real car perfectly. |

I would be interested in donating some quality decals for this model. I run a large sign shop and can do these stickers justice, especially with Fab's great illustrator file and some measurements from yourself, BB _________________ These days people like me are hard to find- we don't give a damn what you think, about what we think. - JR

Sorry, I've been in communicado for a few days getting a foot stitched.
Baked, thanks for the offer. I'll pm you. This will save my buddy BoB from doing me yet another favor!
The body is a standard Revell Volkswagen. If you don't have a body to measure, I'll send you one. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

Thanks to Fab 4 Fan for the design and baked beetle for the vinyl graphics, the in-scale Snorkie is finally wearing his stripes and tramp-stamp mural.
The detail of the graphics is great, especially the mural. "Junkyard Bug" is clearly defined.
I started this project to see if I could do it. (Okay, I also got coaught up in the hype ... a little.) And with the help of some great Sambanistas, I'd say it succeeded.
SNORKELSTANG IS COMPLETED. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

It just dawned on me that I still need a rear license plate!
Shouldn't pose a problem. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

Most of my builds are based on older or vintage kits, and many are restorations. Probably the easiest place to find them is right in The Samba classifieds. Search the toy category. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

I think the model is even more amazing than the real car itself!!!!!!
Fantastic work you did on this Greg, very impressive.
I'll take a really good look at this next time I visit "the collection"
