My 64 subhatch had no westfalia mcodes, bunch of other mcodes common to europe tourist delivery (6 popouts, locking column, gas heater, us spec bumpers, lights) but had a subhatch and was a 2 tones kombi. Clearly a real westy fithout westy MCodes on the tag.

Yes, that seems to be the common presentation for Euro delivered Westy's. IE, no port code, westy code, two tone paint and locking column. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

Well, that looks like a lot of work for a one trick pony. I bet if he made a nice fiberglass roof for it....no. _________________ 53 Hatch Barndoor

You think I wouldn't? I'd put a bamboo roof on that thing and sell icecream down at the beach! _________________ 53 Hatch Barndoor

Pulling this over from the Good Deals thread since it's more of a whine now.
Update:
After starting here at $35,900, then raising to $55,900, then down to $49,950:
Sold on eBay for $41,300:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1965-VOLKSWAGEN-21-..._500wt_743
Higher bidder has zero feedback so... possibly not really sold. |
I love descriptions like this:
"THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD A PARTIAL GROUND-UP RESTORATION"
Followed up a couple sentences later with:
"THERE IS SOME RUST ON THE UNDERBODY THAT WILL NEED TO BE REFINISHED AND OR REPAIRED."
Awesome. |

I sold those to Cory about a year ago. I tend to want to move things fast and put a good price. |

Regarding the 21-window bus that sold on eBay, did you notice that the black enamel front floor section was placed on the top of the front floor, over the large rusted out hole in the front floor? Talk about half-ass... _________________ Don't worry; be happy. (Baba) |

"There is some cracking of the bondo around the taillites"
Fixed that for them.
And I love where it says that since it's from California, it did not come with a heater. |
